Concepte noi in advertising si marketing

Idea Forum a aparut dupa cateva discutii invitatii internationali despre ce se intampla in marketing si publicitate acum, din dorinta de aduce in prim plan noi concepte si tendinte.

Russell Davies ne-a vorbit despre brandurile in beta si ce ar trebui ele sa invete din experienta companiilor web 2.0.

Ideea in beta deriva dintr-un termen folosit de companiile din online, care spune ca produsul este inca in testari. Un site se lanseaza de obicei in beta pentru a i se putea descoperi erorile si le rezolva inainte de lansarea oficiala.

La nivel de comunicare in beta inseamna ca brandurile nu mai sunt doritoare sa se comita unui singur tip de retorica sau unei pozitionari foarte clare si prefera sa fie mereu deschise catre noi oportunitati inclusiv de co-creare cu utilizatorii (noua campanie Pepsi spune exact acest lucru: suntem in beta, tu ne creezi etc.)

Faris Yakob ne-a propus o discutie despre transmedia planning, termen despre care se spune ca a derivat dintr-o carte de Henry Jenkins "Convergence Culture" si a fost ulterior reinterpretat. Faris spune ca transmedia inseamna ca ideea nu se declina identic pe fiecare mediu, ci ca se incearca generarea de comunitati care sa interpreteze similar executii diferite ale aceluiasi concept. Transmedia este practic munca prin care se creeaza comunitati conceptuale care pot, prin relatiile pe care le leaga, sa transforme executii disparate in ceva coerent.

Cine vine la Idea Forum

Acum cateva zile am anuntat discret evenimentul Idea Forum, un eveniment ce va aduce in prim plan noi concepte si idei in marketing, prin cateva voci internationale, sustinute de specialisti locali.

Va spuneam atunci ca in iunie il putem vedea din nou pe Russell Davies la Bucuresti si ca alaturi de el va veni si Faris Yakob, digital ninja la cea mai inventiva agentie de media planning si content londoneza, Naked.

Astazi "ii am alaturi de mine" pe cei 4 invitati speciali ai Idea Forum - nu spun ca e formula completa, caci s-ar putea sa mai apara cineva - dupa cum se vede si in imaginea de mai sus.

Russell este practic parintele planningului modern. A lucrat pentru cea mai creativa agentie britanica a ultimilor ani, Wieden + Kennedy, supervizand branduri precum Nike, Microsoft sau Honda. A fost apoi planner golbal pentru Nike, iar de anul trecut este membru fondator al unei companii globale de consultanta in comunicarea de brand. A inceput un nou capitol in planning scriind cel mai influent blog din industrie, iar acum este colaborator principal al Campaign UK.

Keith este in prezent directorul de creatie international al grupului BBDO pentru contul Masterfoods, ceea ce il face sa isi imparta viata intre Londra, Paris si Europa de Est. Are o experienta de 30 de ani in advertising, consumati la Young&Rubicam, D'Arcy, McCann-Erickson si este unul dintre consultantii "Global Faculty of BBDO University". A trait pana acum in cinci tari diferite si a castiga multe premii internationale, cele mai multe pentru campaniile "Government Road Safety".

FARIS YAKOB @ Naked Communication
Faris este digital ninja si strategic planner in cadrul cele mai controversate agentii de media si generare de brand content din lume: Naked Communications. Impreuna cu Naked, Faris a generat idei si comunicare pentru branduri cum ar fi Sony, 118-118, Orange. In cariera sa, a acumulat experienta in media digitale lucrand pentru Compaq si British Telecom, iar cea in media planning la OMD.

IAIN TAIT @ Poke London
Iain este creativul cu minte strategica din spatele celei mai trasnite agentii de digital communication din Londra, Poke. Cel mai recent proiect al lor, co-brandingul online Kate Moss TopShop este cel mai cautat site in statisticile Google pentru Marea Britanie. Desi infiintata doar de cinci ani, Poke a reusit sa castige numeroase premii (Webby, BAFTA, Revolution Magazine) si clienti precum American Express, Orange, Yahoo.

Idea Forum se va desfasura pe 12 si 13 iunie la JW Marriott Grand Hotel, cu o prima zi dedicata conferintelor si cu a doua destinata unor seminarii sustinute de invitatii internationali. Alte detalii vor veni in curand.

Faris Yakob speaks at Idea Forum

So it's confirmed: Faris Yakob speaks at Idea Forum in June and he will cover stuff on transmedia communication and generating transmedia ideas. There is also a workshop involved...

I have been reading some stuff about Faris. he apparently got started at OMD and then moved directly to Naked wehere he worked on some cool accounts like 118-118, Yahoo, Sony etc. People at local Leo might be particularly interested in listening to him because he was chief strategist for the Orange account for 2 years. He was also toying with being a trend analyst for the insight team at Naked (something I always wanted to do) but what you might not know is that he used to write for Maxim the mag :-)

He has a blog of his own here and he's set up a networking site for planners, kindof complementing Russell's plannersphere, which you can join if you want here

Reprezentatie de Digital Ninja la Bucuresti

Faris Yakob, Digital Ninja la Naked Communication, este unul dintre invitatii internationali ce vor vorbi despre noi idei si inovatie in marketing la Idea Forum, in iunie, la Bucuresti. Pana atunci, sunteti invitati sa-l vizitati pe Faris aici.

Misiunea Idea Forum este aceea de a arata ca astazi inovatia conduce comunicarea eficienta si ca ideile noi conving consumatorul.

Un alt invitat este Russell Davies, un om de marketing si blogging care (cred ca) nu mai are nevoie de o prezentare. Daca totusi are nevoie, aici ii gasiti blogul. De fapt, pot spune ca Russell este invitatul principal al Idea Forum.

Pentru cei ce au deschis blogul (meu) un pic mai tarziu, Russell este omul/ blogul care "m-a convins" sa dezvolt acest blog. L-am intalnit pe Russell in urma cu mai bine de doi ani, cand a venit pentru prima oara in Romania (bucharest 1 & 2), dar am apucat doar sa schimbam cateva cuvinte de salut. Am descoperit apoi blogul sau. I-am ratat si prezentarea de anul trecut de la Ateneu. Ei bine, acum se intoarce si vine cu forte proaspete. Detalii un pic mai incolo.

Idea Forum in June

Some friends and I were talking that there are so many things that are happening right now and we hear about them from fantastic campaigns and the blogs of some really insightful people. But we are simply reading about them and it's sort of vicarious living when we should be doing them.
Naturally to do something you need to know how it works and that's why we though it might be a great idea to get together some people to discuss new ideas in marketing and comms. Russell is one of them - he just seems to be the one leading the way into a new age of planning.

The other person would have to be someone from Naked Communications. Simply because they are impossible to define. One of the founders of Naked said that the company was set up because "the industry is institutionally incapable of giving clients the smartest ideas. How ad agencies and media agencies that decide where ads run are built like factories, focused on one output (and that output is their handcuff)." Naked is an idea company...

I said I would love to hear these people speak about how we can integrate new ideas in old ways, and how we can convince people to buy into brand content, and advertising which is entertainment.

So, because this tends to happen a conference pops up doing just this. These people will be here, in Bucharest in June. Russell, Faris - digital ninja from Naked and another big surprise. Speaking about innovation in comms.
